Sky Go not working on Xbox One

Hi,

Sky go has stopped working on Xbox, still works on all other devices and we haven't changed our subscription.
Rumours are that this has happened after a firmware update on the sky go app on Xbox??
can you please update when a fix is being delivered?? Or if this is not true, please explain how to fix this on my end?

What is happening, are you being asked to upgrade your package ?

Software, not firmware. The new Go version enforces the requirement to have Multiscreen or Whole Home in the Sky account to use a games console (Xbox/Playstation) or an Apple TV box.

Don't think this can be correct, as we have never needed that before, and we haven't changed our subscription (21 years diamond subscriber and now on Sky Q). Was able to use the Xbox before, no problem. The PlayStation still works too. Just not the Xbox.

definitely seems to be a problem

on Sky's end, they have changed something and from looking at other posts, this has affected a lot of people?

It is correct, the old app was not enforcing the poliy correctly for a lot of people

I'm afraid it is as you have been using the app on the console without the correct package on your account and due to this this version of the app has corrected this.

Yes they did. It's their product: they can choose to do that.
