Sky Go App not working on my laptop

I'm not a new user, but only had Sky go on my phone. Have tried to use the app on my laptop, and it just won't work. Phone is still fine, just want to use a bigger screen.

I have downloaded the App from the sky website. I try to run the app, and it says "Checking for Updates", then it just stops, and doesn't continue loading. I have tried uninstalling the app, and reinstalling it. I have made sure it is the up-to-date version, and that my laptop is also fully updated.

If anyone has any tips on how I can sort this, I'd appreciate it. Or if there is a way to watch sky go online without downloading the Windows app?

No, Go stopped being available in a web browser several years ago.
