I was hoping it would be added to the Sky Go app, not expecting the resurection of a dead app. It doesn't need there to be a planner, as such, just a way to command the Sky Q box to play something. That something could be a recording, some on demand content, a live TV channel, an "app", or even some content in a specific app. Most other platforms have something similar to this, and I do not believe it would be a very large job to add this functionality (although that depends on how things are structured within the box, which I'm very aware of as a Software Developer myself).

Hi all. I'd like to request a feature which used to be available on Sky+ but it's no longer there with sky q. You used to be able to select a recording or on demand programme and select "watch on X". This was very useful. Now, the best you can do is tell it to download, then go into the menu and select it on your sky q box.

Any chance?

Are you talking about the Sky+ app, if so as you have said you can only do this with a Sky+ box and the recordings as these boxes have a planner that you can view the contents of via the app so can select a recording or download and can select the watch option.

The only option with a Sky Q box is if you have a multiscreen sub, you can then watch your recordings back via the Sky Go app.

Yeah. I'm just hoping someone on the team will see this and add it, as it's one of the features I miss the most.

If I was putting together a wish list, it would be that and either adding the ability to "cast" to Disney/Netflix or adding search and play from the sky app for them. Searching on the TV using the remote is... Sub optimal. I much prefer to be able to use my phone for that, as you can on almost every other platform.

The Sky+ app hasn't been updated in ages now so I doubt very much that what you want to see added to it is going to happen and while the Sky Go app does see regular updates again I can't see this happening as the Q box doesn't have a planner to be start with.
