Remote Download Failed error sky go desktop app

I keep getting this message when trying to download programmes on the SKY Go desktop app (Windows 10 laptop) "Remote Download Failed etc. Error code RD-0"
It was working ok, so I'm wondering if the latest app update has messed something up?
I have tried all the steps in the help guide but nothing works.
Has anyone else had this issue recently and managed to fix it?

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you sometime tomorrow regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page.

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Hello. I did reply to you via the chat bubble when it appeared but there was no response.
I tried to download a programme again yesterday but it's still not working.
I have been told that this is a known issue.

Update - Spoken to Wightrider and after a few checks we found the device to not be compatible with the app. 🙂
