Easy grip remote

I am trying to synch the easy grip remote control which we have just been sent to my dad's new LG tv so that he can adjust the volume with it. I have been through all 7 options offered under settings but none worked and it told me the particular model of tv was not currently supported. However, I did the same process with the old original sky remote that also had not previously been able to work the volume and that did work. Any suggestions?

Thank you very much for your reply , I am possibly being very dim but I can't see a button marked tv on either of the sky remote that I have.

Might be a different easy grip remote to the one a saw 😞
