Accessible Remote

Hi I'm looking for an accessible remote for my mother who has Sky Stream but finds the remote confusing. There are plenty of such remotes on Amazon with simple On/Off, Volume and Channel buttons but I can't find one to replace the Stream remote. Thanks

@michael262626 Sky only offer such remotes for Sky+ & Sky Q as the Glass/Stream remote has already been designed with accessibility needs in mind, there are fewer buttons on the Glass/Stream remotes than there is on the Sky Q remotes for example.

The Sky Glass remote is hard for elderly to understand because the main control is an unmarked circle so they don't know what to do with it.
are there other options which work with Glass?

@sue20001 No, there are not other remotes that work with Glass as Glass is a bluetooth remote

The Sky stream remote is hard to use for those with cognative issues/dimentia in my opnion. We find t hard to describe to a family member how to use it because there are functional buttons that have no text.

There is the large central ring and central button that is flat, no tactile raised areas. No text. What happened to an old fashioned Channel +/-, Volume +/-?

Hi,

there's a way to set the sky stream remote to IR mode. By pressing and holding the l4 and 6 buttons for 3 seconds. Then you can program a universal remote control with larger buttons.

Im currently in the process of doing this for my rather with dementia, this is currently the only option I can think of,.
