I assume you have Sky's internet calls. You'll need to give Sky a call about a battery backup. If you're registered with Sky Accessibility, there are a number of contact options.

Hello. I live in a remote rural area with no mobile signal. I'm disabled and recently widowed, and I'm terrified of not having phone access in a power cut.

I have been told (by AgeUK) that as my service provider, SKY should provide a 'UPS' (Uninterrupted Power Supply) battery back up, and I would like to find out how to get this sorted as soon as possible, please?

There are frequent power cuts here, in winter. As a wheelchair user, it's almost impossible for me to go out safely to find somewhere with a mobile signal near enough to use. Also, I am really worried that if I have a fall and have no home phone access because the WiFi is down, I'll be stranded without any way to get help. I'm VERY worried about this and very nervous. I used to be able to simply plug a basic phone into my BT phone socket even in a power cut, and amnow regretting changing my landline to SKY. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
