The Open commentating

I'm watching the Open on Sky sports and it's the afternoon. We have 2 commentators who have verbal diahorrea! Why do they have to fill in every moment with chatter. Whoever they are, get them off. It's awful and making us want to turn off the tv. 🤬😡

FYI the commentators on SKY Golf rotate with probably around 10-12 in the booth over the day - (less I think for the Women's) - with 2 or 3 on at any one time, switching every so often - I would say around every couple of hours or so but this is just a guess.

Today these included Nick Dougherty, Andrew Coltart , Dame Laura Davies, Ewen Murray, Tim Barter, Richard Boxall, Paul McGinley, Claude Harmon III (a coach guesting as a commentator), & I think Sir Nick Faldo amongst maybe a couple of others

So it is quite possible you may have been on SKY Golf earlier - some are definitely better than others !

Usually they flash a graphic briefly on screen when they change or just during the coverage.

There is usually a couple on the course following 'featured' groups - today there were at least 4 on the course that I recall - David Howell 1st thing with Iona Stephen, Inci Mehmet & Wayne 'Radar' Riley later on

(I think David Howell may have, also, been in the booth later on)

Rich Beem was in the booth at one point today but I can't remember if was on the course at some point (I think he usually is on course for usual PGA coverage from the States)

Needless to say I could have got a couple wrong above (I know most were as stated though) & I quite probably missed 1 or 2

Thus, if you were to write in, it would probably be best if you could name the ones you are writing about (or at least identify when they were commentating)

It's the final day and Rory is out on the course among others. Why oh why would I want to listen to Nick Faldo and Paul McGinley voicing their thoughts on what might be going happen when I can watch live golf? This is just ludicrous planning that makes no sense whatsoever! We've heard it all before!!!
