People still want their BBC, ITV and RTÉ channels and a handful of other channels (and sports) There's honestly too many channels that show the same thing over and over, like crime and documentaries. Back in the 90s/00s, every TV channel has something different. I can go from 121-199 and see crime, documentaries, airport border shows, Friends or some MTV show that I'm too old for and that doesn't interest me and that's it. It's the same thing over and over.

Even some channels that were for (e.g.) nature documentaries are now showing classic Doctor Who (i.e. U&Eden). Even look at TLC, they are trying to be an entertainment channel, and currently are just broadcasting The Big Bang Theory, its spinoffs and Mock The Week.

People seemingly want niche channels, like those on Pluto TV or box set channels that show an entire show with all series over and over. I honestly think that if Sky TV wants to survive they need to keep terrestrial television on channels 100-499. And then as many streaming niche channels like those on Pluto TV, LG, Samsung TV Plus, as they want from 500-900.
