No. Probably watched more of this Winter Olympics than previous events especially the curling. I suppose any complaints about the coverage should be sent to the Beeb really.

Anyone else finding the coverage rubbish? No description on the synopsis of what's on, constantly hopping between events, no schedule anywhere, no warnings before announcing results of things you haven't had a chance to watch yet.

Iplayer is just as bad, no separate events, just a copy of the TV coverage, having to hunt through hours of video to find what turns out to be a brief 10 minutes from a two hour event. Earlier I went on to find the moguls from this morning only to be greeted by a massive headline telling me who won.

I think I'll sign up to a month with TNT next time, get some decent coverage with commentators who actually know about the sport they're watching.

You need to make the complaints. Take note of a few examples with date and time, as part of your complaint to bbc

With the winter olympics, there can be a lot going on which does affect this. Bbc have 1 linear channel broadcasting so this might explain why they may switch between events

And some events take a while. Ice hockey is 2 hours 30. Curling probably is long too. The men's giant slalom had 81 starters (and 30 in the second run). Figure skating pairs had 20 pairs in the final.

Then there are times to clean the ice and snow inbetween competitors.

Plus bbc will try to focus on British medal chances too .

You could also check Discovery Plus for content, as the Standard pack (the one some sky customers get at no extra cost) does have content and it is really well organised

The jumping between events, lack of a proper schedule, and those early spoilers all come from how the BBC structures their broadcasts.

If you want smoother coverage or have suggestions, it's probably worth getting in touch with the BBC directly. They do take feedback on things like event scheduling and how iPlayer presents content. Totally agree though, services like TNT Sports that separate events properly and have knowledgeable commentators are easier to follow in the meantime.

I just realised the Ski Jumping has already been held and I'm not aware of any coverage by the BBC. The FA Cup is the same. Bought up by TNT and the BBC left with scraps. No live FA Cup games on free to air on Saturday and Sunday. I already pay a fortune for Sky Sports. I have no intention of paying for TNT or Discovery+.
