topic Again today Sky showing football on a non football channel in What's On

Football encroaching everywhere!!

PaulGButlerUK — Sun, 26 Oct 2025 13:24:21 GMT

What is going on?

I have just tuned into my Sky Sports channels only to find that Sky Golf and Sky F1 are both showing football.

This afternoon,

SkySpME

SkySpPL HD

SkySPFL HD

SkySp+ HD

SkySp Golf HD

SkySpF1 UHD

SkySp News HD

Are all showing Football !!

I thought I was paying for Sky Sports, not Sky Football.

It's Sunday afternoon, I want to watch some golf or the run up to the Grand Prix this evening, not a bunch of over paid prima donnas rolling around pretending they are hurt.

please give me what I am paying for. Tennis and Cricket seem to be playing the right sport, why not Golf and F1?

@Andy+Beckett , @PaulGButlerUK Sky's Viewer Relations are the people to complain to, if you want your voice heard by Sky. You can email them at viewerr@sky.uk

Me too, let's post here any (if) response?

Why is football on Sky F1 and not motor racing?

Colin633 — Sun, 26 Oct 2025 15:31:07 GMT

I pay Sky to watch motor racing and not football so why put football on Sky F1.

Are they going togive me a credit?

@Colin633

I've moved your post into this ongoing thread. As there is no F1 until this evening coverage will revert back at 4.30pm.

That'll be a no. Any non coverage of F1 for a couple of hours would amount to a few pence.

I have also sent email

Re: Football encroaching everywhere!!

oj01 — Sun, 26 Oct 2025 16:14:36 GMT

I've also sent an email praising Sky for allowing me to watch all the football today. Excellent decision to use the channels with no dedicated sport in progress for football instead.

I couldn't agree more, I'm amazed customers would rather watch repeats than a bonus piece of live sport

customers that desperate to watch repeats can easily access them on demand

I presume you have no interest in motor racing and can watch numerous football matches at the same time?

Re: Football encroaching everywhere!!

Andy+Beckett — Sun, 26 Oct 2025 16:27:21 GMT

So how do you watch the seven channels showing football at the same time?

What live motor racing are/were you actually missing? Or are you happy to watch repeats

Re: Football encroaching everywhere!!

Daniel0210 — Sun, 26 Oct 2025 16:30:27 GMT

@Colin633

I like watching F1 but don't watch all the chat or repeats. Even when F1 starts again in a couple of minutes it's another repeat of Qualifying. I'd much rather watch other live sport.

I was quite happy to watch last years Mexican grand prix or anything else to do with motor racing but

I didn't want to watch football.
