Peacock Streaming in Uk

Hi guys I am new to this helpforum and I was wondering if anyone knew or knows about what plans there are for Peacock to be launched in the UK?

having spoken this morning to an advisor to renew my contract they seemed to think that a Peacock launch could well be part of the ITV takeover plans potentially rebranding ITV X as peacock.

but what they did say was that if the ITV takeover did go ahead it would bring industry changes to how we consume and watch tv here in the UK. Which brings me to the point is there a planned Peacock launch coming to the Uk .

would anyone else like to see Peacock here in the UK?

They tried to launch Peacock a few years ago, but it didn't really work, so it ended up being a short lived on-demand section on Sky. One of the issues with streaming platforms launching globally is a rights issue in the markets they are trying to launch in, which can take years to sort out.

To be honest there is probably no reason for Peacock to launch in the UK, as the Peacock name means nothing, whereas they already have well known brands in Sky and NOW that can be used instead for an on-demand streaming service. ( or indeed even the ITV brand is a bigger brand in the UK than peacock so it would seem strange to swap them over if Comcast do indeed purchase ITV).

Their shows are sold by all the place

NBC Universal has sold Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy to ITVX for example.

Hi,

Would like to watch the Peacock channel to continue viewing season 5, part 2, Yellowstone. All previous seasons shown on Paramount + in to season 5, part 1!

Peacock isn't a channel, it's an app, only available in the USA.

It's only on Peacock in the US because the former execs sold the streaming rights to Peacock before Viacom and CBS remerged.
