Whilst watching the Ryder Cup on sky sports (puck), I received a message on my watch from sky news literally on Lowry's back swing for the winning putt stating that Europe have retained the Ryder Cup!!! Can't you delay your notifications by 5 seconds in future??? VERY ANNOYING!!

Presumably, though, you didn't have chance to read the notification as you were watching the put at the time?

You presume wrong. As he started his back swing my watch vibrates , I glance at it and saw the two words 'Europe Retain' ...
That's all I needed..
So I was aware even before the putter made contact with the ball.
The anticlimax was in full flow before the ball got half way to the hole.
If it were a different source ie BBC that I would have no complaints. (A stream is a stream). But the notification came from sky news.
Otherwise I felt the coverage was terrific.

Were you watching Sky Sports via streaming? Or the linear broadcast channel? You mention a puck, so I presume the former.
