It's obvious where lots of our money is going on celebrities advertising Sky. It's not necessary and these days most customers think it's obscene and extortion. Why don't you invest in treating your supposedly Sky VIP customers better

New customers pricing is coming in much less than we are paying. Atrocious

This is a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are here to try to help other customers. You aren’t speaking to Sky Customer Services here.

I suppose Sky can spend what they want on marketing and don't have to divulge their reasoning to us customers.

Better discounts are offered to new customers as an incentive for them to join. Most providers do this.

If you choose to jump ship and go with another provider then in 18/24 months you'll be in the same position with that provider and if you want you'll be able to return to Sky as a new customer and gain the benefits available at that time.

Presume you've posted similar in the Virgin media boards about their celebrity usage to promote their service, or EE, Vodaphone etc?

It's how companies attract new customers, which may come as a shock to you.

Both! They are celebrities in their own right, must be getting well paid 🙂
