Thanks, However my point is that the cycling commentators keep saying "if youre watching on TV then youre going for an ad break", the implication being that there is another way of watching where you dont get ads. Also i managed to watch one race (E3 Haralbeke) without ads, not sure how.

Just trying to understand whats going on.

As I'm in ireland and we can't get discovery plus premium here, I can't help.

But I want to say, the ad breaks are silly, (I didn't mind them on eurosport as this was how it was funded) is there any other sport where they take breaks in the middle of action.

On the football, do commentators go "it's a throw for Liverpool, and if you are watching on the tv, we are off for an adbreak"

@JNO wrote:

As I understand it sometimes on Discovery + they have 2 streams for sporting content. One will just be labelled as TNT Sports, and another may be labelled as the TNT Sports channel e.g TNT Sports 3, that the sporting event is actually being shown on. Its quite possible the live stream of the channel gets the ad breaks but watching the live stream of the event not from the linear TNT sports channel stream doesn't have the ad breaks in.

Personally not something i've tried, however i've seen on-demand sports content on discovery + listed twice, one with the TNT Sports label and the other with the channel label, so its just assumption i've made trying to be logical that this may be what is being referred to.
