After yet another Christmas of old repeats bad American Tv , what on earth am I paying for better content of ITVX as soon as F1 goes to Amazon I'm out of here

Sky have the exclusive rights to F1 until at least 2029 by which time your Sky TV discounts will have run out at least twice if you don't believe you're getting value for money.

Or indeed Netflix, who were sniffing around not that long ago seeing the interest level from FOM.

Come 2029 I can certainly see Netflix being interested. The long term global deal they signed for WWE seems to have all the hallmarks of them testing the waters with global sports deals and what with the success of drive to survive it wouldn't be such a leap to see them making a play for global rights.

No (though interesting mix france, Switzerland, Netherlands, Norway are among those from what I can see ending in 2029)

F1TV works with any ISP now. The current difference is that video coverage of live racing isn't available in the app in countries where there's a 'TV partner' with exclusive broadcast rights.

Indeed, likely just them weighing up the cost of running the platform themselves and getting 100% of the revenue vs getting into bed with a Netflix or Apple TV who already have the platform available and would likely cough-up a rather large fee for the rights.

Indeed, likely just them weighing up the cost of running the platform themselves and getting 100% of the revenue vs getting into bed with a Netflix or Apple TV who already have the platform available and would likely cough-up a rather large fee for the rights.

The F1 app is already available in the UK ... with billing functionality😉

All that is required is for Liberty Media to retake control of UK rights ... and offer the option to Sky to become a non-exclusive partner🤔
