Thanks - I have done this and the signal is still weak. I have sky Max, so how do I go about ordering a booster?

Hi - I have set up my laptop in my usual place when I work from home (I have been on paternity leave since changing to Sky broadband) and the connection is low and keeps dropping out. When with EE previously we had a disk to boost the signal, so we may require something similar again?

Also, make sure the router is in a central position, so not stuck in the farthest corner or under the stairs.

Have a look at the following to see if they can resolve your problem easily if no success with the above, you can also use the MySky app. If not you may need to consider either the Sky WiFi Max add-on package or perhaps purchasing a 3rd party mesh system (which remains yours regardless of ISP used and would be my own personal choice).

To check on local outages.
https://www.sky.com/servicechecker

To run the local checker.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start (do run all tests)

Helpful articles that explain the basics.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-speeds-explained
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-tips-when-working-from-home

Link for Sky WiFi Max
https://www.sky.com/broadband/wifi-max

@RobMellor83

If you have Wi-Fi Max on your account at about £6 per month then Sky will loan up to 3 pods as you can read about here:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

The first one can be self installed while a second and third will require an engineer visit.

So you can either call them on 150 from a landline phone or a mobile that has a Sky sim in it or Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom on the above link.
