Where the TV is related to your broadband hub, so are they near each other, in different rooms, or on different floors ?

We recently switched our WiFi broadband to Sky and the first few days our TV connection was fine however that last few days the connection has been getting worse and worse. To the point now where we can't really watch anything as nothing will load. The WiFi is working for our phones perfectly so not sure why the TV connection is so bad?
