Signing up for Sky Broadband Superfast

When I try to become a new customer by signing up for Sky Broadband Superfast package, either through USwitch, CompareMarket or Sky's own website, I get a technical error message at the very end. I tried multiple times yesterday and a couple of times today, and still the same problem. I tried different browsers as well, different bank cards, and nothing works.

I am still waiting to hear from a member of your team. The bubble chat popped up yesterday, I answered, and then nothing came back.

I have read in another threadline that this technical issue might be because my previous broadband provider hasn't "released" me from their contract yet. I have spoken to them, and they will terminate the broadband with them at the end of the month. Hopefully I can get transition to Sky sorted in the meanwhile, so I don't have too many days without access to broadband.
