An engineer visit has been scheduled but I don't need one. I just need the router and remote activation

If the order has triggered provisioning over FTTP and that's not already in place then attendance at the address is required.

I have FTTP and have had it for a few years now. I even had sky BB before. I do NOT need an engineer visit

You'd also get a visit if CityFibre is in your area.

Where CityFibre is potentially available, Sky will only provision on that network even if an Openreach ONT is already in place.

The other (small) possibility is that you have an early model of Openreach ONT which is being withdrawn from service.

How do I cancel the engineer visit? Otherwise I'll just cancel the order and go with alternative provider...

I had Sky FTTP (it was them and OR who installed it originally) before moving to Virgin. When I came back 2 years later I had to have an engineer visit to re-enable it, so I would go with what they advise.
