@Lindsay1988 it is unlikely thst your problems are due to your new fibre connection itself but are more likely be due to changes innthe WiFi signal in your home. Often when fibrecis installed the hub is moved, if that applies to your set up consider if you can placecit in a better positiin which is out in the open on acsurfsce off the floor. You mention you have a Sky Q box if your new set up has a white Sky hub tha Q box can no longer act as a WiFi extender which can affect your other devices that previously used that to connect. Getting a WiFinextendercas part of Sky's WiFi Max package (https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max) would likely improve things considerably.

Full fibre is far more reliable than the old partial fibre connection. Once switched it is impossible to switch back as Openreach will not accept an order for a partial fibre servicec at an address which has been converted. The forum gets may posts like yours but in almost all caes the problem is with the WiFi not the broadband itself. For Sky Q customers like yourself the issue is compounded bybthe changescto how Sky Q works with the new white hubs.

Hope that helps.

I regret upgrading to Sky Fibre. I've had my connection with Sky for over 5 years and was recently offered an upgrade which I took.

I wish I could revert back and I'm going to be logging a formal complaint.

Every evening between about 5pm until 10pm my connection repeatedly drops out or is completely throttled. Even now I'm sitting here watching my Sky Q box switch between connected and not connected on repeat every second. The network team have apparently found no faults and I've had a new router sent out but I'm still experiencing the same issues.

I don't have anything coming on at that time of night automatically (I used to work for Sky Broadband so I know the troubleshooting steps) but considering a lot of people in my village are having the same issue as well we the multiple posts I've found on here with the same issue, there's obviously a problem with Sky's network somewhere.

Whether it's because they haven't bothered to upgrade old and degraded lines/equipment or if it's because new houses are being thrown up at an alarming rate (especially in my area) and the right upgrades/installations haven't been put in place to accommodate, I don't know but there's DEFINITELY a problem somewhere that NEEDS rectifying now.

Like I said, I had no problems at all for 5 years UNTIL the fibre upgrade.

Seriously fed up.
