Issues with new Sky Max Router and Yoto

We recently upgraded to Sky Full Fibre Gigafast and received the newer white router. Since we moved over to this we have had issues trying to connect our Yoto and Yoto mini.

I have looked up guidance (and have received a lot of suggestions from Yoto) and have tried many things including disabling 5ghz. I have now managed to connect the Yoto mini but not my Gen 2 Yoto.

Yoto suggested that I do a factory reset on the Yoto mini to see if this would help the issues I have been having with being unable to play Yoto radio on the device. I did this and my Yoto mini is now trying to download all of the files that it needs but it is incredible slow despite being as close to the router as I can get it.

Has anyone had issues with Yotos and this newer white router or have any suggestions for why I've been having so many issues?

I tried connecting my Yotos via a different service provider and they connected with no issues and no further problems so the issue appears to be with the upgrade we had had with Sky (no problems before this apart from not great signal which I was hoping this would fix!)

@FrustratedSky go into the My Sky app find the hub's advanced settings and change the WiFi security setting from WPA3-T to WPA2 which often sorts connection issues.

Thank you. I have tried this as well.

Do you know if I would have to keep it on WPA2 forever to ensure that they work?

@FrustratedSky yoy shouldn't but given WPA3-T is a transitional standard it has minimal gains over WPA2. If that trick didn't work I suspect a reset will be required a lot of drvices have issues accepting new WiFi details when you change routers which is why I cheat and change the new unit to match the old routers SSID and Password before switching over.
