Thanks, I am testing from 1-3 meters away and I've not done anything to the router (and in fact think I reset it to default last night).

As I say, Sky say the speed to the router is nearly 5 times faster than I am actually getting, so they think everything is fine.

I might see what I get through an ethernet cable as I'm curious.

Other than that I guess it'll be a call to Sky tomorrow.

We've upgraded to a faster broadband package and sky keeps telling us we are getting 700mb to the hub. No device in the house, including me stood next to the hub with my mobile, gets more than 120mb or so. I've been through the steps the ai bot told me to, so turned off the router to reset the channels and then done a reset. My speed stood next to the router is now 40mb... I know the first few weeks could be slower than expected, but presumably that's the speed to the hub, not hub onwards. Speed tests were on a samsung mobile, ipad and a laptop. Is it possible the router can't handle the speed? It's an SR203; I presume it's fine or they'd have sent me a new router. Open to suggestions! Latest tests were with the Sky box, another mobile and the iPad connected to the WiFi, none of which were downloading anything at the time.

@Spikie normally full fibre delivers consiistant speeds to the hub but a test is run daily and thecresults are shown in the Service Checker in the My Sky app. If there isxan issue thecapp, should offer help. Speeds over any WiFi link is affected by many factors but if the hub is out in the open and on a surface without other electrical equpment near it should be close to the connection speed in the room it is placed. Run tests roughly a metre from the hub not right next to it.

If you still get issues raise them with Sky but assuming your devices are WiFi6 capable and you hsve not turned off the 5GHz band the Sky Max hub is capable of WiFi speeds in excess of 1Gb/s. Speeds in rooms furthercaway will lower simply due to the physics of radio waves.
