Broadband/WiFi lag

My wife and I are working from home this week, I'm listening to her teams calls and they are dropping. I initially thought it could be the other end but she has had several calls from several clients l, the common factor here is this end. Her desk is next to the router. I'm on my laptop but only answering emails rather than streaming etc. the TV upstairs, 5m away from the router through a wooden floor won't connect to stream.
