topic Extremely poor wifi speed in Broadband

We have awful wifi speeds. When i test broadband on your app, it tells me I am receiving 800mbps to the router but when i test speed of wifi on any device it returns between 3-10mbps download speed and 1mb upload speed. Dont have loads of devices connected, most just use light amounts of data ie streaming a video. But we have a couple of devices that need a better connection. Not sure why im paying so much for a top speed package when i am not getting those speeds. It's extremely frustrating. Please help

@Jiantpea the speed a device receives is the lower of the broadband speed and the WiFi speed in your home. Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot provide a usable wifi signal in every room due to the layout and type of construction of the property especially in older homes. Assuming the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a surface then the only answer is additional wifi sources.

Your choice.is to either buy Sky's add-on WiFi Max bundle which can supply up to 3 extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or buy your own wifi system and use that instead of the Sky hub's WiFi.
