Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone might have some ideas as I'm running out of things to try!

I work from home using a Sky Max Hub (the white hub). My work VPN remains connected, but SystemOne repeatedly crashes saying it's lost connection to the server.

So far I've tried:

- A brand new work laptop.

- Connecting via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi (this seemed more stable at first but now has the same issue - when it was working it did stop me using certain applications for work)

- Disabling IPv6

.- Enabling UPnP.

-Multiple troubleshooting sessions with my IT department.

The strange part is that this happens on my Sky broadband and at my parents house (who also have sky) but it works perfectly at my sister's house (Virgin Media) and in the office.

Because the issue follows the broadband provider rather than the laptop or location, I'm starting to wonder if there's something about the Sky Max Hub or a setting on the network that's causing SystemOne to lose its connection to the server, even though the VPN itself stays connected.

Has anyone experienced anything similar or found a solution?
If you haven't already, try disabling Sky Broadband Shield.

The other suspicion would be that it's down to Sky using IPv4 address sharing using MAP-T.

You'd need to contact Sky and specifically request that they check to see your circuit is using 1:1 IPv4 mapping.

They should be well aware that MAP-T is a long-standing issue with business VPNs.

Hi - I've just spoken with someone and they've created a port for my laptop - does this need activating by my works IT team? I'm trying to use my laptops system now and it's taking ages to load and then the system doesn't respond? Is there anything I need to do? I did mention about the MAP-T but they didn't really say much when I suggested it? Thanks 🙂

Starting a new thread causes confusion and repetition.

Sky will only remove MAP-T if it us likely to solve your issue which personally I suspected it wouldn't but I am far from being an expert but it sounds like Sky think likewise. Sky like most domestic ISPs cannot support third party software. A search shows the term System One refers to different applications including a NHS system, Greater Manchester Travel and a cloudcsystem for booking artists.
