How does one switch touch work, leaving virgin to sky and they said they should be notified by this and want to make sure it happens ?

@SuzyT68 the system leaves the gaining provider in your case Sky to inform Virgin of the date the switch happened so if dates slip you do not lose a connection. The most common issue is where the customer has cancelled directly with their old provider which dtops it being a One Tiuch Switch with the flexibility on dates..

@SuzyT68 beware one touch switch only covers broadband

it doesn't cover tv services (including iptv services) these remain the customers responsibility to cancel with their current provider directly)

Probably doesn't apply to Virgin anymore as you can't have their TV without the broadband so OTS does terminate the TV services as well. I am presuming that this applies to all VM customers by this point, it certainly worked that way when I used OTS earlier this year to come back to Sky from VM for the broadband.

@Me134 But can virgin tv run on any isp or is it locked to their own network, if it's locked then true otherwise op would still need to cancel tv I would assume

I presume that it can run on any ISP but if you cancel their BB then you're also cancelling their TV regardless. I had their little Streaming puck with their BB at the same time as I had Sky Q. VM cancelled both (without me requesting it) when I used OTS to change back to Sky BB.

@judie2 to book a one touch switch simply contact the ISP you want to switch to and it is all automatic they handle thexseitch and cancelling your current service. However check you are out of the fixed contract term as leaving an ISP during that will mean you will have cancellation charges. However some ISPs will cover some cancelkation charges if you move to them, Sky for example will cover up to £200 see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/switching-credit-offer
