Broadband Outage - Surrey

Broadband has been down since approx 7:30am this morning.

Connection test doesn't detect any outages in the area and my router etc is fine.

Managed to finally get through to sky this afternoon and they said over 20,000 customers are affected! Will take 48hrs to fix max and the connection text still shows no outages in the area 🙄

No internet TW15 0120 again

It was down same time yesterday. Worked during the day and now down again. Exact same as yesterday.

It’s shocking and horrifying that the same shambles as last night is happening again in the same area. They’ve said it’s maintenance but why all of a sudden are we experiencing these issues? I’ve never had these problems with Sky broadband apart from the last two days, been with them 2 years.

Same here , it was down yesterday and again now exactly the same time...test shows no outages 😞

Apparently I'm reading there has been some vandalism and theft of the fibre. However doesn't help us. I've also never experienced this until recently

It's back though, so I'm happy with that. As long as I know they might be tweaking at night Christmas and it comes back quickly I'm ok with that.

However I was watching something on BBC iPlayer so that was a nuisance.

Its gone again. Tomorrow I will be raising a complaint. I dont believe this maintenance thing one bit, never had this problem before. I'm using my mobile data now for work.

All,

When there are broadband issues between midnight and 7am it could be essential overnight maintenance taking place. It is carried out at those times to minimise disruption and there is no advance warning provided.

See this pinned post at the top of the Broadband board from Sky which could be relevant any night this happens…
