Is there a light on the downstairs pod? If there is it has lost connection to the hub while the engineer probably placed the pod in the best position try moving it close to the hub typically placing these extenders in the hall or landing is optimum but a lot depends on the layout of your home.

My living room (ground floor) POD has begun locking up i.e stops downlaoding on a frequent basis. My server is located on the first floor - as installed by your technician. Initially there was not a problem with my living room POD.. My POD on the same (first) floor as my server continues to operate reasonable well.

Please advist if this is due to a weak signal reaching the ground floor or a malfunctioning POD on the ground floor
