Open Reach Delays

Hi,

Why there is usually a huge delay in fibre installation by open reach? As per their team, they need some external work to remove the blockage.

I am curious to know why can't they fix the problem swiftly and give so longer timelines which is so frustrating.

Openreach works at their own speed and so depends on what other work their engineers have on as it isn't just Sky as an ISP who use their network so they will be doing work for other ISPs as well.

@MZ84 If they need to dig up a pavement or road then they can't do that swiftly, they will have to get permits from the local council and possibly utility companies and that can take a while.

Openreach can take a while to get things done unfortunately, When i had my first appointemnt with them to install FTTP it was originally around a month after I signed up.
