Hello all,

Call sky today to talk about wifi problems I have. I need a wifi extender so told them that. Was told I need to be on wifi max to get an extender which will cost more money.

I told them that this is not what they sold me with all the promises given it will reach everywhere. Also said that when I moved from virgin media I had no problems with Wi-Fi all over house.

Really regretting moving to sky now, just problem after problem.

They are correct in what they told you as they will loan you up to 3 pods (boosters) but only if you have broadband max on your account. The alternative is to use homeplugs or create your own mesh network.

Hi that's something I'm looking at now, when I asked them about the coverage when I was placing an order to move over to sky they told me that it would be fine, like a like for like replacement of my virgin media setup. Obviously not as they want to sell me more products not actually help resolve a mis sold product.

There's always going to be differences but overall, buying and setting up your own system means you'll never need consider it again regardless of supplier.
