Thanks for the prompt reply.

My new router is out in the open exactly the same place as my old one and if you are suggesting I need WiFi boosters in my upstairs rooms this is something I didn't need before as I had an excellent signal all over the house.

The bottom line is I am not getting the service I had before since switching,

I had the copper fibre broadband with SKY for years always had an excellent connection all round the house, thought I'd up grade to new Superfast 500 as it was on offer, what a mistake!!, engineer fitted cable and box on Friday since then I can't get the tvs upstairs to connect, the connection drops constantly on my main tv in the lounge and it's buffering programmes all day long, I understand the broadband comes from BT now, if I had known this I would have switched as my dad has had continuous problems with his BT broadband when it switched to EE.

Any help would be appreciated as it's not working again this evening so my England match is now off!!

@Cap44 wrote:

I understand the broadband comes from BT now,

It doesn't come from BT as Sky still uses the Openreach network for fibre as they did when you had the copper line. The exception is that if you are in a City Fibre area you would be on their network.

A poor signal in certain rooms is something that comes up on here on a regular basis so try going through this to see if it helps:

https://www.sky.com/help/broadband/my-broadband-speed/improving-wi-fi-signal-to-my-devices/articles/improve-the-wi-fi-signal-to-your-devices

If not and if you have Wi-Fi Max on your account then Sky will loan up to 3 pods as you can read about here:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

So you can either call them on 150 from a landline phone or a mobile that has a Sky sim in it or Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom on the above link.

You might have had a good signal before but from what you have said and whatever reason you don't appear to have this now so either boosters, home plus or a mesh system is the answer to your issues.
