Low quality internet

Hi my WiFi seems very low quality, it won't even connect to my phone when I am in the next room. Also I ought to be able to get 5G and it's only picking up 4G. Can you check please, thanks

We're just other customers here I'm afraid so can't check your account. WiFi signals can be very variable, can you reposition the router to a more central position?

5G & 4G refers to your phone signal and is even more of a lottery, especially indoors.

As @Me134 indicates, those are cellular data signals broadcast from a phone mast somewhere in your local area, and nothing to do with either broadband or WiFi. The 'G' is for 'generation' of technology and unrelated to the 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz frequency bands of a WiFi signal: to receive a 5G data connection on a compatible smartphone there must be 5G broadcast locally.

The internet is very slow, I haven't been able to watch any movies, they keep stopping.
