topic Laggy wifi in Broadband

Hi al Been having issues with WiFi since I switched to sky. Pages take ages to load via the main hub. It's like the hub has to have a think about looking up the web address then loads. Sometimes up to 10-15seconds If I connect to the WiFi point upstairs which is an old netgear router I use as an access point via Poe for the top of the back garden pages load as they should and no lag. Any ideas ??

@Image2000uk

Could it be a poor signal in certain rooms is something that is causing this as this is something that comes up on here on a regular basis so try going through this to see if it helps:

https://www.sky.com/help/broadband/my-broadband-speed/improving-wi-fi-signal-to-my-devices/articles/improve-the-wi-fi-signal-to-your-devices

If not and if you have Wi-Fi Max on your account then Sky will loan up to 3 pods as you can read about here:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

So you can either call them on 150 from a landline phone or a mobile that has a Sky sim in it or Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom on the above link.

Hi It won't be the distance from the router as I am sitting 10 feet from it with line of sight. Thanks

Hi Yes that is correct. Even sitting in the same place the upstairs router is quicker to load pages than the sky one.

It may be a clash between the two wifi networks?

Hi, Yes I have tried that and also disconnecting all the leads out the back of the sky router apart from the wan connection, to see if that makes any difference but it does not.
