Engineer coming or not

I have had texts from a mobile number saying NO engineer is needed to connect my broadband and one from sky saying an engineer WILL be calling to connect it. Which one do I believe? I've found Sky a nightmare to contact (in fact, impossible!!). They say ask the community which is obviously what I'm doing but how anyone is supposed to know what my personal set up is I don't know. Tried calling and the line is so distorted I cannot hear it. Not a good start to my experience with Sky broadband.

Are you signing up to Sky Fibre and if so do you have an ONT installed in your home ?

Hi, I think it was Full Fibre 75 Broadband but in the one communication email I have received it does not confirm that. I'm not aware of what an ONT is I'm afraid. The box they're sending is a Sky Hub 4.2 which I think is for part fibre connection. If it is, that is strange as the flats I live in have just two weeks ago had optic cables put outside ready for connection.

Has done ever since I signed up so cannot get any info.

As regards the box, there is an Openreach one on the wall IN the flat, a bit bigger than yours pictured, with POWER, DSL, LAN1, LAN2, REST, BBU, on it (but no lights so it doesn't look like it's operational). Under that is a small box labelled Master Socket 5C Openreach MK4 which is connected to my NOW Broadband router atm.. Outside the flat is a new grey box just installed by Openreach a week ago, which the guy told me was for fibre optic connection to the flats as and when they are needed.

Any way I can attach a photo?
