When you try to connect either of them what happens and have you tried a reboot of your broadband hub at the mains ?

I tried a reboot several times. The message in my TV screen is: "Home Screen is Currently Unavailable. A network error has occured". And when I go to network settings my network is coming as saved but not available.

The same may apply to your phone as well although phones can normally store multiple WiFi networks.
