Hi @Al1351

As far as I know Sky Max pods dont support ethernet backhaul which is essentially what you are trying to do.

If you can't get a wireless connection established between the two pods, then your best option would be a 3rd party AP as you mentioned. Just be careful how this is setup as it could affect WiFi performance in your home.

Hello all,
I have two Sky Max pods. The 1st one, which is in the extension room, is connected to Sky home router, which is in the leaving room, wirelessly. I am trying to connect a secound Pod to the first one via Cat6 Ethernet cable hoping to get it working. Am I wrong to expect the daisy chaining to work?

1. I can connect an old laptop to the cable (40 meters) attached to first Pod and the connection works.
2. The second Pod connected directly to the home router also works.

3. Cabling from the office room in the garden to the WIFI router in the living room is not possible for me.

If the above is not possible, can I get an extension to WIFI by connecting a third party access point (WIFI extender) to the first pod via cable?

Thank you in advance for any advice you might be able to give me.
Al

Thank you James.

The distance between the two pods means the the second pod can not pickup signals, so I need to use ethernet cable. I get full speed internet at the end of the cable which is attached to the Pod1. But when I attach the secound Pod to it, I can not see it on Sky app, and I do not see any WIFI signals from it. In fact, I see flshing white light after a few minutes inicating it can not synch with the router. I am going to buy an AP and give that a shot. Any advice what AP would work with this setup (Below)

<---> Cable
--- Wireless

AP<--->2nd Pod<--->1st Pod---Sky router

Essentially anything as long as its got an AP mode, not router mode.
