topic Random broadband go live delay? in Broadband

So after successfully letting them know im moving home they said (on the phone) the Broadband go live date is May 1st. After looking on the app probably not even 2 hours later the go live date is now the 8th.... This is a really huge inconvenience and I'm wondering If there's even the slightest chance it can be pushed forward again. Mistakes happen but you cannot tell your customer one date, and then delay it by an entire week with no communication.

As you are only talking to other customers here @Dan05 we can't change the date for you as usually you are given the earliest possible date due to an Openreach/City Fibre engineer availability in your area, if you can see if there are earlier dates via the app you will have to call Sky again.

@Dan05

Unfortunately if provisioning is going to be over a new FTTP circuit then a slipping date is the subject of repeated posts here.

Any date quoted is a target, not a guarantee, but this particularly impacts Home Moves because there won't be a functioning FTTC service available at the new address.
