There has been a broadband outage in my area for the last couple of hours (CV339). How can I get an update on what's happening and plan for fix.

@Nico106 basically you cannot. Where there is an area outage these will be checked out and dealt with by engineers from the network operator who are most likely Openreach. They will restore services as rapidly as they can but they dont provide updates to their customers like Sky who can only tell you what they are told. Most outages are fixed in a few hours some take a few days where for example road works have damaged a major cable some can take weeks but that is very rare.

You will, start accumulating compensation if the line is not baxk up by Friday see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com
