Given the terrible initial advice, the completely useless Sky chat,(whose only assistance whgen I tried to get help was to divert me to this community), this new revelation that Sky and Sky Business dont know what each other are doing, what exactly should I do stop to this Double-charging of my account. All attempts to do anything so far have been a complete waste of time. Is this the fabulous Sky service they mention in the TV adverts? I wonder if Idris knows what he's endorsing?

Have just moved house and signed up for Sky superfast broadband, which was anything but superfast. Spoke to helpdesk and pointed out that i need to get faster broadband as my wife and I work from home and they suggested Sky Business, so I agreed to switch. last month I was charged for both!. Please advise.

Unfortunately that sounds like inappropriate advice: Sky 'Business Broadband' is essentially exactly the same technology (FTTC or FTTP) as the domestic variety, and wouldn't be any faster, not does it have any improvement in service level agreement. About the only advantage is that the Business Hub has the option (at additional cost) of a cellular dongle for failover, and it can potentially host additional landline numbers as it has four phone ports.

You would need to cancel the domestic service as I suspect a domestic to business switch would not be covered by the One Touch Switch system which covers domestic to domestic switches.

@Syd121 yiu can complain about the advice you were given but a lot depends on what was discussed and I agree it was rather unusual. While you can use a domestic connection to work from home it gets you no priority and Sky will not directly support that usage. Sky record cals so can review the discussion. Use the links here to complain How to make a Sky complaint | Sky Help | Sky.com

The point I made was buying a Sky Business connection does not appear to automatically cancel your Sky domestic service as it would for a transfer between domestic suppliers. Consumer rights do not always apply when buying products designed for businesses.
