Can you use a BT Router with SKY ?

I have quite a complicated and annoying situation with my broadband, I was originally due to have my Sky Broadband activated on 27th April but Openreach were able to sort out the stage 1 install (connecting fibre to the oustid eof the hosue) earlier and easier thann originallly expected. Once Openreach completed the stage 1 install I called up Sky and asked them if i could have the isnatll adte brought forwrad, Sky agreed and they said this would cause mmy Sky hub to be sent out earlier, unfoirtuanetly this didnt happen and my full fibre isnatll is tomorrow, I am worried that tomorrow the Openreach engineer will disconnect my normal phone line I have with BT and that I will have to wait until 27th April until I can have my full fibre with Sky.

Historically, no: that wouldn't work at all.

FTTP does change things though, and it's possible broadband will function (although telephone calls through the router won't)
