If the light is blinking it hasn't paired with the hub, so there won't be any improvement in WIFI speed.

I've got an sky pod with my internet, but it's not working. The white light blinks all the time and there's no difference in my room having it or not having it. And if there won't be any difference or I won't get same speed than downstairs (900 downstairs 500 upstairs) then there's no point in paying £4 extra each month and I would like to return the sky max pod. Thank you.

So that means that does not pair. Because I've set up it several times and according to the app is connected and still same speed. I need to solve the issue or return it back.
