Sky may be round the corner with newer, it's not a priority and the wifi 7 is just so much hype, on wifi5 my laptop syncs on wifi at 1733/1733Mb/s, cannot push it that hard but best to date is 2.2Gb/s all internal, Internet is just not important and the FF500 well covers all that would ever be needed currently!

@Chezzy1 like all isp supplied routers the Sky Max hub is built to a cost and has limitations. Not aware of Tapo devices having any requirments that hub cannot meet. By default it producesca dualband SSID which cannot be split into 2 single brands which sometimes require users to temporarily turn off the 5GHz band while they connect devices thst dont like dualband SSIDs. The controls are in the My Sky app so quite easy to use .

It is up to you if you use the hub's wifi or buy a third party mesh system. I had my own Deco system so I use that as my home's layout meant Sky's WiFi Max extenders were slower than my old system. The advantage is that the Deco app allows creation of a separate SSI`d for IOT kit and a guest network which suits my use case.

Are you on the EE Forum let me know what your user name is there!
