Hello all

We are trying to work out if we should switch from our super fast broadband to full fibre 150. We live in South Suffolk and have read a lot of mixed reviews on the reliability of FF150 so asking if anyone can share their experiences.

No current issues with our set up other than hearing the end of contract.

Thank you

@SMedic ar some point you will have no choice but to switch as the copper phone network is being phased out and in many areas Openreach already will only accept orders for full fibre.

Technically full fibre is far better technology as firstly unlike partial fibre there is no loss of speed due to the length of the line, the line is effectively immune from weather issues and interference. I have had full fibre for overc2 years and it has been highly reliable during thst period. It is amazing the decades old copper phone lines can in most cases carry a decent amount of data but given we are all using more data their life is effectively over.

Most issues raised in the forum are around the speed of WiFi which can be caused because the hub has been moved and is nothing to do with the fibre connection itself. The actual process of getting the new line run also causes issues. However given Openreach are installing over 10,000 lines every day some inevitably cause issues most go smoothly..
