intermittent broadband

I'm on etehrnet not wifi. When my signal is good there's no speed issues but I get intermittent pauses. It could be nothing for a day--then next day i loose broadband for 2 mins, then later 3 mins, then later 2 mins etc. It's happening randomly i can't see a pattern. I have rebooted my mac and router multiple times. This has been going on for weeks. There's no known disruption from sky in my area. The physical cable is fine. If i switch to wifi the problem is similar. it makes working and zoom calls very difficult. Any ideas?

thanks for responding--it's a 'sky max hub' ---so if the sky hub is losing connection to BB what can i do? is it a sky engineer thing? It seems very hard to contact them to talk aboutthe issue!
