Hi All,

I have switched my router from the SR203 to an Asus router. (Tp-link --> Asus Router). everything is going great, however June of this year we are getting full fibre. (from 60 to now up-to 1600mpbs), so I believe I can get rid of the TP-Link and plug the ASUS router directly into the wall.

Settings wise, does anyone have the recommended settings as a picture or text?

Many thanks

Your Asus router may connect on its own using PD authentication, if not you simply need to configure your WAN to automatic IP & in the DHCP Option 61 client identifier box you put the following string.... abc123@skydsl|abc123

Thanks James - I will check the current settings I have. It sounds very similar.

Am I right in saying I can get rid of the TP-link in bridge mode?

@AshleyC1994 Just use the search bar and input XT8, back in jul from the post's you will see Asus on the ONT direct, IF you need to have a Landline Talk system then your sky Hub does have to be up front and centre, as you seem to not be using that then direct connection will be ok, just let your Asus work it all out for you is the easier way!

Your Tp-Link is possibly only needed for the fttc copper connection as you do not say which Asus you are using!

Thanks Jim.

No landline needed, and asus ax-82u router.

I have bookmarked the linked post, so I will refer back to it once FTTP is up and running

Yes you dont need a modem. The fibre ONT acts as a modem, you plug your asus router directly into it.
