I am switiching to Sky broadband in a couple of days and I was wondering if I need t use the Sky Hub? I alrerady use an ASUS router which has more connections, WiFi 7 and is much more capable at handling 4K streaming and gaming.

Hi @RedK8ng

No you dont have to use the Sky hub if you dont want to. Most routers should be able to connect to your line if you have FTTP & and an ONT. Its a little more difficult if your still on FTTC, you would need a modem or router with modem built in.

Also note you wont be able to have a landline if you dont use the Sky hub.

Can link it if you need or cannot find!👍

When EE stopped working I just reset the router and boom on Sky, all devices working and speed is as fast as EE.
Nothing has ever worked as quick as that without any issues. I am seriously impressed
