Delivered over optical fibre and ethernet cable as far as the Hub (and potentially using ethernet from it)

WiFi is always going to be lower, and the 'guaranteed' wireless speed is a whole 25Mbs.

I appreciate the support, but I am not sure if your an expert or not. I would like to educate you a little bit please. I have stated I am receiving below 200mbps, yes? Which then leads to the fact I am missing 800mbps, yes?

Why did you mention the signal strength and not speed because the Ethernet which is CAT8 by the way has nothing to do with the speeds I am receiving?

So let me break it down for you sir:

The Wi-Fi and Ethernet cable don't control the speed. That's the Internet providers job. Now the way you reviece the Internet is your job, so if you want a stable continuous connection then I recommend using WIRED cable. But if you don't tend to having a fairly sized cable for around your house then your left with no choice but to use WIFI, which also should be receiving 1000mbos which has been paid for.

Don't get your ego confused with your knowledge please and thank you from Connor who needs his wifi speed fixing please 🙂

@Connor95 wrote:

But if you don't tend to having a fairly sized cable for around your house then your left with no choice but to use WIFI, which also should be receiving 1000mbos which has been paid for.

Nonsense: that's frankly impossible in most circumstances and would require as a minimum a full suite of WiFi 7 hardware. The 'guaranteed' wireless speed with the WiFi Max subscription supplement is 25Mbs (and will of course always be zero Mbs a few walls away from a broadcast node)

The ISP router should be receiving the (caveated) speed which the ISP advertised: for 'gigabit' FTTP from Sky that's 600Mbs arriving over fibre pigtail to the ONT and then ethernet to the Hub. Where Hub speed is consistently less than that, the optical and ethernet cables need to be investigated by the provider, as does the upstream optical distribution hardware.

It's also possible there's a capacity issue in the area which needs to be addressed by the network provider.
