Hello. Sky finally sorted out my broadband issue. Seems open reach engineers do not communicate well with each other?

I have been offered £6.24 by the automated compensation.

8 days no internet. 3 promised engineer visits with no engineer showing. What should the level of compensation be?

Thank you in advance for any advise.

Hello. Has anybody else had a date for Fibre 150 installation. Had the open reach engineer come start the job and say sorry I can not complete the fibre installation I leave you for now on copper wires. Then had sky the next day say welcome to fibre 150 and turn off the copper wires. Over a week later and many hours on phone to several different sky departments and I still have no internet of any type or no idea when I will get internet back. Struggled to get believed. Been lied to about engineers coming out dates and told next day it was only a maybe etc. Surely this is not normal sky customer service? Or is it?

@Westy7777 Openreach sre doing many thousand fibre switches every day and a few do unfotunstely go wrong. The job not being finished when due is quite common but nirmally the existing partial fibrecservice should remain availabke until the connection is up and tested.

Its not clear what happened with your case whether the fault is with Openreach or Sky but your copper service was switched off. The bad news is once off it is usually practically impossible to get it restored. You will be due compensation see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com but that doesn't get you a usable service. While you can complain sorry to say you are stuck until Openreach complete the new connection. Resist the temptation to switch to a different ISP as if they use Openreach it will delay things further.

Hi. Thank you for your reply. I don't mind there being an installation issue. I don't mind waiting- but why I had to loose internet altogether, why it was not proved working and why I am lied too about open reach coming out on days they then do not. That's just very unfair and nasty from sky. If only virgin done a Q box...
