Hi, I have the white sky max hub but I find it drops the wifi connection on a few of our devices very often. It soon rediscovers them but it's very frustrating especially as I have to use wifi calling due to the poor mobile signal where I live.

We also struggle getting a wifi signal across the whole house even with a pod?
I am thinking of replacing the sky max hub for a 3rd party modem router combo. Can anyone recommend anything and how easy are they to configure?

I am on standard broadband and not fibre btw.

Thanks in advance.

@Kinkyjohn the Sky Max hub and pod combination is not suited to traditionally built homes with solid internal walls. My own solution iscto keep the Sky hub but turn off its WiFi and use a three unit TP-Link Deco M4 system running in access point mode. These work well in my home giving decent WiFi spedds on all three lvevels. Theywere fairly cheap at just under £100 all-in and giventhe saving in not paying for Sky's WiFi Max have paid for themselves.

There are loads of alternatives available but things getva little more complex if you want to getvrid of the Sky hub as you will need a modem router if you are on partial fibre.
